The Selection
The first book in this 3 book series (3rd book being released in May) is about a girl named America Singer. America must leave her regular life - and secret love Aspen- to enter a fierce competition that she doesn't want to be in, along with 34 other girls, to win Prince Maxon`s heart.
This book is dramatic, romantic and AMAZING! We would recommend this book for 5th grade and up, however 5th grade may be borderline.

The Baby-Sitters Club: Claudia and The Phantom Phone Calls
Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls is the second book in the Baby-Sitters Club series. Maryanne found a section of the Phantom Phone Caller in the newspaper. Later on in the week, the girls each baby-sat a child and they were very nervous. Claudia and Kristy baby-sat for the Newtons. They kept getting calls with no one answering on the other line. The calls were coming from shy boys trying to ask them to the Holiday Hop dance.
My favorite part of this book was when they figured out that the phone calls were only shy boys. This was my favorite part because they knew that they were safe and not in danger.
I would recommend this book to girls who are interested in baby-sitting and small mysteries. It is a great series and I would recommend all of the books. I really enjoyed this book and I hope that you get to read it too.

Twins
Twins is about two young girls named MaryLee and Madrigal. MaryLee is going to boarding school when Madrigal isn't. MaryLee spent her time at her school meeting new friends. Until Madrigal visits. MaryLee's friends love Madrigal and love her more than MaryLee. So MaryLee pretends to be Madrigal until she leaves. While they were skiing,Madrigal fell off a cliff! They all thought it was MaryLee! So MaryLee pretends to be Madrigal to find the hurtful and horrible things about Madrigal and her boyfriend.
What I liked about the book Twins is that MaryLee is finding out about Madrigal. MaryLee's whole life has been with her sister always being together. MaryLee thought that Madrigal was an awesome sister and person. When Madrigal isn't. MaryLee pretends to be Madrigal after she dies to find out the truth about Madrigal being a horrible and beyond mean person to people. I liked that MaryLee finally heard the truth about Madrigal when MaryLee thought she was a sweetheart. Also,MaryLee stands up for what Madrigal is doing, and saids it is wrong to do.
I do recommend Twins because it is a realizing story. In some parts of the story,it is intense and dramatic ,but it is when MaryLee stands up for what is right when Madrigal and her boyfriend do awful things to people. For example:leave them in a terrible place. I do recommend the book Twins because MaryLee stands up for what is right to do and what is wrong to do.
